Grass. In all it’s splendor!!

Now that we have a new house, the fun begins for fixing it up. And the first thing that should be done is the yard cause oh my, it’s quite neglected. As such, I’m researching grass … and there is a lot to know about it. There’s more to it than “just grass” … all the types, control, and maintenance … for example, did you know:

Common cool-season grasses include:

• Bentgrasses
• Bluegrasses
• Fescues
• Ryegrasses

Among the common warm-season grasses are:

• Bermudagrass
• Buffalograss
• Zoysiagrass
• Centipedegrass
• Bahiagrass
• St. Augustinegrass

Plus lawns are not always composed of just one type of grass, but rather of a mixture, to take advantage of the strengths of each type.
